APPLICATIONS

Structural expansion joint in building
Buildings brick and block work
Isolation joints between adjacent constructions, E.g. buildings, around manholes. Drains and other insets in concrete etc.

FEATURES & ADVANTAGES

Closed cell
Clean to work with, no crumbs, dust or fibers, easy cutting by knife
Can withstand joint movement
Does not disintegrate
Does not react with acids & Alkalis
Thickness is built up using at least one layer of 10 mm of specifically extruded high performances PARMOUNT Board.
Negligible water absorption.
Will not discolor sealants or architectural substrates
Excellent recovery hence can accommodate joint movement

LAYING PROCEDURES

1.2 While creating expansion joint PARMOUNT Board will become one side of shuttering. To bold two free sides of shuttering a MS bolt of 12 MM Dia with both sides threaded will be used at every 1 Mt interval with matching nuts with concrete sleeve 50 MMX50 MM. This bolt will take out & hole of sleeve is to be grouted afterwards with cement mortar.

In an expansion\ movement joint PARMOUNT Board is to be in position to substrate using double sided adhesive PARAMOUNT TAPE (Manufactured by Paramount Group of Companies) / synthetic rubber adhesive. When forming expansion joint with PARMOUNT Board in insitu concrete, joint sealing slots is to be formed in the following manner.
PARAMOUNT Board is to become one side of shuttering. Cut off p strip of PARAMOUNT Board equal to D.Further; cut the strip along the joint length into two.
The depth of top strip should be = (1.25 W or W+5mm whichever is less) + (W/2 or 15mm whichever is less) and the bottom strip + (D - top strip) where
D ; slot depth in MM W = slot width in MM
Pin the top strip back on to the bottom strip using nails at tow-inch intervals. Ensure that the slot is clean and dry Install a strip of filler material on top of PARAMOUNT Board tlush with finished surface using either a PARAMOUNT SHAM TAPE (Manufactured by Paramount Group of Companies, synthetic rubber based adhesive, Please see diagram below:
Just prior to Sealing pull off the top strip to create an uncontaminated sealing slots ready for preparation & seating.
Install PARAMOUNT Back Up Rod 30 MM Diameter (25% larger than the joint & finish with sealant on the top.

TENDER SPECIFICATION LANGUAGE

ROOF PARAMOUNT

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Roof Paramount has a very low "K" value, which docs not deteriorate with time. "Roof Paramount"overdect roof insulation has a virtually negligible water vapour transmission and diffusion factors. It also has excellent elongation characteristics which helps it to lake the surface expansion effectively for a temperature range ranging from - 40° C to + 70 deg C. The product is a non cross-linked expanded Polyethylene sheet of closed cell structure, reinforce with a polymeric interlay. The interlay divides each layer into 3 separate water barriers. And since two layers of Paramount Roof are provided, you actually get 6 barriers

APPLICATIONS

  Overdeck Insulation of Air-conditioned buildings.

FEATURES & ADVANTAGES

Closed cell structure
Saving accrued on account of downsizing of Air-conditioned load.
Gives an added advantage of waterproofing
Environment friendly
Non-deteriorating & Non Ageing
Does not promote growth of bacteria & Fungi.

LAYING PROCEDURES
